The mould is the minimum.
Most plastic accessories are injection moulded. Before the first part exists, a factory machines a steel mould, and that mould costs five figures. The only way to make the per-unit price reasonable is to spread that cost over thousands of parts, so the factory sets a minimum order in the thousands.
For a growing brand, that means committing to 5,000 units of a product you haven't tested, waiting months for it to cross the ocean, and storing whatever doesn't sell. Change the design later and you pay for a new mould.
We skip the mould. Our accessories are made digitally, directly from the design file. There's no tooling to pay off, so 50 units is a sensible run, and the design can improve between every one.
